Good stuff, but without the fifth (or fourth), I definitely hear this chord as a major add9 in first inversion, with the add4 (your "b9) in the first voicing, but not in the others. Regardless, a beautiful sound, and that movement, e.g. from VIadd9 to Imaj13, or from IVadd9 to bVImaj13, etc, is fantastic.

I hear it as multistable. The timbre is indexed to me not as an inverted major but rather extended minor. A particular context could change this.

ooooh that is pleasant. with the minor sixth at the bottom, I really hear that as said b6 being the root, over the third as the bass, so like Cm7b9b13 in my ear really sounds like Abadd2,4/C. and when you move the bass down it sounds to me like moving to Abm add2,4/B. either reading works honestly, and it's very nice

Ok, this just made me realize how a Commontone in, let's say a Suspended chord, allows modulation to a different key BUT it doesn't change the structure of the Scale being used like I always thought it did. Perhaps I am wrong though, man I so brainwashed.
