Highly recommend Steiner education for children, it's so complete, respecting and nurturing in a very natural way their cycles of growth. I recommend going to investigate first to get an understanding of it.

God. She was my teacher. Inevitably kids will go their separate ways. But Steiner is really the best start you can give your child. When I was being taught by bun, I was a nervous creature, but now I am a confident, self motivated young man who hopes to achieve plenty of goals. Its funny, at 16, I still remember all the songs sung in this video. And I first tried cus cus at Steiner. My maths was crap, but I can get around it. Thank you bun😊

What a wonderfully inspiring video. What a beautiful phrase that your job is to nurture children when they are away from home. Almost makes me sad to have moved away from the UK.

What a lovely video! I live in the U.S and will be starting the Waldorf teacher training in California this coming year. Would it be possible to visit your school and do an internship, at some point?

Wow this is exactly how I envision working with children , but my reality in the US is way different. How I would love a circle time where the kids would actually want to participate and listen to stories. The reality of children in the US is frightening…. The children are so uncomfortable in their bodies due to high amount of vaccination and unclean foods…the children have so many issues of internal imbalances, they can barely make it through play time in peace.

Almost every modern culture feels that children need to be disciplined toward becoming awakened to the world around them - here you see an unfolding being, as the teacher said, nurtured through rhythm and rhyme and story. When a child is being a problem to others they don't see them as naughty, but as something more like "out of sorts" and emotionally imbalanced or suffering perhaps physically. They wonder right away about what is bothering the child who is bothering the other children and work with greater nuance through one- on- one discussion, story telling, or letting someone have some time holding a pillow that is a bit heavy or covered in fur or velvet. It it interesting to see Waldorf as it is in different schools ( I saw it in Denmark, Germany, and the USA there in both public and private schools) and it does not have to be so dreamy all the time. They also encourage forceful outdoor play including running and shouting and to use heavy pieces of wood and rocks for building, real knives to help prepare real actually healthy snack, real shovels for digging outdoors, and real hammers. Boys are also allowed to be boys and also allowed to play with the dolls, but the natural materials inspire a different form of play and so do the teachers' voices. One other lovely facet is that visitors are often invited to come and do actual handcrafts while the children play. You know how children love to meet the janitor, whom they assume is the most important person in the school! LOL. In many ways they are ; )
