@fhcwcsy3 жыл бұрын
I think this tutorial does not target everyone out there. He is a BBoy and for a BBoy it is actually not that hard because they usually have strong handstand so balancing feels easier. Also for BBoys we dont care the forms as much as the calisthenics athletes. We learn planche for moves such as flares or UFOs (at least I do). Therefore I think this video is not for absolute beginners but BBoys with good freezes.
@moisesdelcastillo67032 жыл бұрын
As a calisthenics athlete and someone who's trained for several years now I will say this is a video with improper form. The glutes are too high up you need to engage the lower back to avoid this. You DO NOT want to ever bend your elbowed at the top because it instills bad habits. When you master planche and train for the Maltese planche you do not have room to bend your arms. Even as an intermediate you want to have your fingers pointing outwards not forwards. This will relieve some stress from your wrists. The upper back is the most important. You must be able to PUSH through your shoulders and round the top of the back almost like a hunchback. Squeeze core and glutes. Feel the planche all the way through your feet.

I dunno, it worked for me, I could actually do a bad form straddle with this tutorial, with the other tutorials that basically tell you "You gotta be super strong, work on your strenght and flexibility for weeks and do slow progrettions, then you will get it in around 2 months". I prefer shitty form straddle than no straddle at all. Of course I will work my way up to a good form straddle, which is gonna take me months but it will be better than this. But for now, this was fun which keeps me motivated as opposed to other ways of teaching. This doesnt looks like its directed to the elite athletes or people who take calisthenics seriously anyways.
