I love seeing the different ways people hold their working yarn or wrap the yarn around the needle. It's as unique as a signature.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I like that you skip forward as soon as you show the instructions. This is very pretty. Can't wait to try it. I like to knit dishcloths to learn new stitiches.

Nice to see a washcloth pattern other than the standard one. Gives me something besides the knit stitch to do. I'm a beginner, again, and am trying to adopt the Norwegian knit style or at least the continental style so will try to translate what you are doing to my way of handling the yarn. Thanks for posting this. Love it. Very clear.

I'm gonna disagree with quite a lot of the comments on here about how difficult this is to follow along with. If you are not keeping up go and find some videos on how to purl, and how to knit. Maybe a video on how to do rib stitch or something where you knit and purl in the same row. If you know how to do that then this should make sense. Yes, it would be clearer if the camera was placed between her hands and off to the left, but she does explain it quite well. I've been knitting for about a week total. It made sense. I probably would be dropping stitches left right and centre, but it did make sense.

I did one and my stitches got looser as I went along lolololol....as far as the knit purl knit into one stich it comes with practice....the part I found difficult was remembering which row I was on when I laid my work down. I had a whole section with the wrong startings ...finally I started recognizing what the stitches looked like on the reverse then it was much easier when I picked up my work again. The other problem I had was size of needles I think size 7 must be size 4 Canadian as I am making nice large dishcloths on 5s but I like a big cloths and so do some of my friends I'm doing them for Christmas.

@@lynncraig8111 - Some things you can do to help out: Place a stitch marker on the right side of your work. Place stitch markers between ‘repeats’ as for example you have a four or six or eight row repeat. Place a stitch marker at the beginning of the repeat and it’s on the right side.

I love this pattern! As a brand new knitter this one is the most detailed I've made so far, but I am having some difficulty with the middle section curving inward and I don't know how to correct it. Searching for any suggestions. Thank you I'm advance!

Thx I e gone crazy with the dishcloths- but I was ready for something different. I’ve done this stitch on a pillow. Took a while to grasp - but got it now. I’d like to mine smaller- do I need to keep even for it to work?

The berries or the whole dishcloth? The whole cloth change needle size If just the berries I'd change the size after the first 5 and last 5 stitches in each row

Please help me with the following issue - I am writing you from Croatia where we never had a habit of using knitted kitchen cloths, so I wonder - are there three types: 1. dish cloth - using it to wash dishes (gets wet…) 2. hot cloth - the one that you use to take out warm things from oven, or put under the warm pan, etc… (hangs somewhere almost as decoration) 3. kitchen cloth - for wiping wet dishes? If you agree with these types (and please add new or correct them :D) - which kind of yarn should be used for wet situations (no 1.) and which kind for hot situations (no 2.), etc. Namely. I knitted one nice cloth… and it was there in the kitchen. Put very hot pan onto it - and it actually got brown marks and it smelled awful - it burned. So I realized probably has to be some amount of wool in it if using for hot situations. What percentage of wool, for what is good synthetics, etc. For wet cloth probably should be different yarn.... I would be very grateful for an answer as I am totally into knitting kitchen cloths. I just saw this movie and I would LOVE to do it :) Me and my 8-year old daughter really like your channel! Thank you so much, Ines

best thing for pot holders are cotton yarn, they can withstand the heat better. it sounds like the yarn you used may have been acrylic or part acrylic, which will melt with heat..

Ines Basta 100% wool or 100% cotton for hot items. If using cotton use a dense stitch, one without holes or without open stitch work. 100% cotton for washing dishes or your body. If you use wool for hot pad , get one that is washable. If it's not washable make it bigger and felt it. My favorite hot pad pattern is called Origami potholder or Magic potholder. You should be able too do a search for the pattern.

Do you have a tutorial on your technique? I've crocheted for years and I'm finding it difficult keeping my fingers in place. It actually tires me because I doing too much movement with my fingers. I think your knitting is beautiful.
