Hi, Donna! Just wanted to say I always watched your PBS show when I was sick as a kid home from school. I have an immune deficiency so when I was a kid I was sick...a lot. Something about your show was so mesmerizing and calming when I was sick. I remember trying to paint along with you and was always mystified how you got those seamless blends between colors. I'm so happy to have found you on KZbin and that you're still painting gorgeous flowers! I think I have you to thank for my love of ombres! I'm a hairdresser now and I creating seamless blends in my client's hair is my favorite thing! Thank you so much Donna!

What is the black pad you are painting on please ? By the way, you are the reason I paint every day, thank you
@DonnaSDewberry5 жыл бұрын
The pad is called Koh-I-Noor Black Drawing pad. It features in&out pages so you can take the sheets out of the spiral binding easily without tearing, and insert them back into the pad to keep them safe. I love the way it takes the brush strokes, it has a smooth finish and a fine texture. Comes in 9x12 inch size with 30 sheets.

Beeeeautiful! Favorite flower, and not because it's my name, lol. My favorite are the black bearded. Any suggestions on it coming out with some dimension, being it's such a dark color?

🎉 Happy New Year Donna!! 🎉 It's good to see you making videos! Many years ago I took One Stroke Painting classes at Michaels where I worked. I believe the instructors name was Barbara. She was very nice and knew what she was doing. I planned to continue learning and eventually start instructing as well. But that didn't happen😏 Eventually when I have time, I want to start painting again. Meantime, I'm enjoying your videos!! Toni🌼

Hai mam, you are amazing. Being my inspiration too. I wanna learn this technique. Please clear my doubt. How you blending colours perfectly and also maintaining it till the end ? And how to use the medium ? And do explain its uses too. Please do reply me. I'm very much interested in this one stroke painting techniques and wanna learn it.
@ignisking7595 жыл бұрын
You mentioned you used plain black paper, can you elaborate more? Like its weight or what kind it is such as card stock, acrylic, water color, etc as well if it's smooth or not. I'm trying to learn how to paint, and instead buying different brush sets I switched paper from a mixed media pad to regular card stock and noticed a difference in the strokes in regards to how far the paint cant travel without fading.
