I was in band - in middle school - during the 1960's. Percussion. We stood behind the trumpet section. I watched those kids do the scale do many times - still have it memorized 50+ years later!

I agree this scale is so so easy to play. I've played this scale many times in band class. The notes of the C Major Scale are C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C and then u go down the C major scale B,A,G,F,E,D, and then C and then u are done with playing the C Major Scale on the trumpet

I've been playing trumpet for over 4 years. That "thingy" is called a tuning slide. When u stretch out the pipe it helps ur sound come out a little bit cleaner.
