why is attack speed so important, when bloodmist trigger corps explosion

8:12 Is 4 corpse generated a mistake? It generates a corpse after 1 second, thus making only 3 overall, sometimes it was possible to explode 4 CE out of 3 corpses, but never seen it generate 4

It should generate 4 corpses in total with explosive mist detonating 3 of them over the full length.

Basically useless. We actually don't generate essence very quickly on the build.

@@MacroBioBoi what about using decompose with the aspects that let it to be cast on two additional targets and the bonus 60% chance to create a corpse and the other aspect that it giver you like 40 essence when decompose creates a corpse. Basically run in to a pack or a boss with blood mist bone storm, cast decompose. Sac ring will cast the corpse explosion, and decompose creates a lot of corpses that will be used for black river. All that while gaining like 40 essence a second from the decompose aspects for the melted heart of selig to be unkillable. Just a thought

@@antoniomoldovan2405 this works, you just do nearly 0 damage and are no longer playing Infinimist, you're playing Decompose, which isn't a strong option but you do become immortal as long as you're channeling but then can be cc'd. The wildest part about this question is that I'm currently working on part two of my Infinimist series and cover this exact setup since I tested it for AoZ.

For me, Infinimist was all about infinite casts of blood mist and nightmare dungeon pushes. Shadowblight was just a synergy to help reducing blood mist cooldown and rushing the dungeon, leaving enemies behind dying of shadow DOT. No matter what kind of variants people use, so long they can keep blood mist in almost 100% uptime, it's a thing. The reason for black river and corpse explosion oriented build was just to kill bosses faster, in that setup we barely cast blood mist (with exception of deadly dungeon debuffs/effects) and we keep spamming corpse explosion skill (due no cooldown).

Considering that you're looking for the max number of procs, why not use skeletons to add even more attacks to proc off of? With the one vampire power, they also do an outstanding job or renewing your essence. Also, with attack speed being so important; why not grab the one node that gives extra attack speed while healthy?

Skeletons don't proc lucky hit chance actually, but their thorns damage can proc decrepify

I want to get into AOZ with this. I can’t decide between X’fals or river. Do you have a preference for just AOZ? I have the unique gear for both, but I’m switching from bone spear, so I need dot gear or non-bone crit gear. It would be nice to have builds on maxroll for the variants. And what does the paragon look like with the AOZ glyph? For each variant? I’m sure you’re getting there. I’m looking forward to the next videos. This is a far more helpful video than just a build guide. Understanding the ‘engine’ of the build is a great upgrade from the usual build guide videos.

On maxroll's infinimist guide about half way down (Progression Steps section) section they do have the variants- just a little hard to notice. The "AOZ Black River" variant works great!

Black river is basically a requirement for clearing AOZ at a decent tier. I’ve busted up to tier 15 but am bored of the grind now.

Unless Blizzard make brand new pets for Necromancer the Minion builds will never be a thing in this game. The only time I´ve played with Minions was in Eternal before season 1.

Hey Macro can you confirm that the Tendrils activated by the sacrilegious ring does not triggers the crit chance from Grasping Veins aspect? When I let sacri ring do it for me i don't see the crit increase on my char sheet but when I manually activate it I clearly see it... Is this intentional, a display bug or am just tripping? On a totally unrelated note, I'm happy top announce I was able to FINALLY complete a T100 with a "pure" shadow summoner ALL minions, NO Mist and no Bone Storm lol... felt real good lol

Learning and leveraging every aspect of infinimist was the most fulfillment I've had in a build so far. That being said, as a rogue main, I really do miss the more tactile combat. Infinimist feels so abstract in its design philosophy and in practice, that it took me a really long time to get over the fact that I'd just walk around and things died, even when I understood the mechanics. It's a bizarre and counter-intuitive build on every level, so I understand the confusion people have when building and playing it.

Barb and rogue are broken and exploity. Ball lightning sorc is strong. However, exploits put aside, necro shadow DoT is by far the strongest DoT build in the game.

@@colmc5382 what really helps me is the realization that other builds being strong doesn't have to impact my ability to enjoy playing the game in the way I want to. There are super fast and strong Necro builds, but they're just not built the same way as other classes, and that's ok.

Thanks for this Mac! Necro is a challenging class to understand in my opinion. Which makes it challenging and fun. So many different iterations to the builds. I started with bonespear then transitioned to infinimist. Both were fun and very different play styles. Im working on my 3rd necro now and deciding if I want to the shadow wave or try minions again.
