Angela, I wanted too tell you. I’ve played since I was 12, I’ve been in several bands, so I would say I’m still somewhere between intermediate and advanced, (I learn quickest by watching). I’ve sat through Drive, Melissa, From the Beginning, Angie and Your Time Is Going To Come. And I always pick up on some little trick I didn’t know before. Since I learn by watching your tutorials are great and you have a really great way of explaining what’s going on. Keep up the good work. I’ll be looking forward to your riff rundown tomorrow. Thank you!

I'm not sure why, but this is one of my favorite Stevie Ray tunes. I saw him along with Robert Cray and Clapton in Alpine Valley the night before Stevie died. Broke my heart. The music world lost a great one that night. RIP

I love your lessons and they have improved my playing. I stopped playing guitar too many years ago and the lessons have given me hope of getting back to playing again. For the last 25 years, I've been singing classical music semi-professionally. I have many favorite guitarists from many different genres. To name a few: Lary Carlton, Kirk Fletcher, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Billy Gibbons, Joe Walsh, Dwayne Allman, etc. I listen to a lot of music. Please teach J.J. Cale "Call Me The Breeze" and anything from Led Zepplin again. My acoustic guitar is a Taylor 526ce all-mahogany back, top, and sides, and own some electrics collecting dust. I live in Newbury Park, CA, and hope to hear you play when your gig is a little closer to home. The "Mint" is about 80 miles from home. I think you have something coming up in Tarzana. Following you. Thank you so much for the inspiring lessons. ❤ 🙂

Hi Angela, SRV will always be my favorite, then Terry Katz, and now You and Mary Spender. I've often wondered how SRV would of done in this age of KZbin. Would he have had a channel for him and his band, would he do tutorials? Don't know if you have been asked yet, but SRV had a way of muting strings when he played some of his songs like Cold Shot, or Mary Had a Little Lamb. if you can cover that, the way you teach, it would make a lot of frustrated guitarists very happy! -Regards, -G

I'll be working this on an off I'm cleaning the walls floors carpets an taking out the recycled trash, fall clean reorganization, these licks will be fun along with Melissa. My x business partner Bobby use to shoot dope with Greg Almond down in Florida, when they were just starting Bobby had a little girl named Melissa Grainieri big dk brown eyes straight dark chocolate hair down to her hips and all the way live Italian she was so cute and street smart. Greg and the band use to drop in to Asheville to get Warren Haynes for some work and they would play one bar downtown from thurs through the week end. That was nice of them boys. Asheville Summer Fest is one of the best musical, Art, Food, Drink, Pottery things going, country pickers all over playing every kind of musical Instrument combination groups you'll ever see and their masters at hillbilly mountain tunes, you wonder why they aren't on the road making big bucks, to them it's every other day with someone else on the mountain visitin, gabbin, tellin, lies, drinkin, and picking songs you've never heard and most the men had a ball jar half quart with one of their friends shine, goes down like warm water, but mind yourself it's the real deal and it takes experience to no, it doesn't creep one minute your gabbin the next you can't remember where you are or how you got their, it's all good they take good care of each other and just pick and grinn. Asheville's sits surrounded by Blue Ridge Mtn.s on all sides the valley's big but not huge and the park way Anderson Coppers Granddaddy built Vanderbilt's is maintained and is high on the mountain so to get the views all the way upstate. Vanderbilt's Mansion is their open to the publics the fire place is 2.5 car lengths and that living room you can put an average home In it .It's really gorgeous. There's never any trouble at the fest, mountain people protect it because for decades it's been income for many, and the cops let them handle it so yeah it's really a gas, camp out down town on the grass the fest is non stop and safe. You .can see many players getting down like Johns 5 except there's probably from 1/2 banjos guitars maybe 1 and a bigger 1 an violins and they get it.
