Great insight to the rules Alec, I always enjoy these videos you do. I was on,y thinking the other day about using these rules with the excellent range of Bloody Miniatures. 😁👍

They are a good series of rules and these are no exception. I intend to have more games using my old 25m minifigs who rarely see the light of day these days. I even have 15mm Poles and Ottomans, so that would skew a good game, maybe do a 2v2 using those. If zi do, I will record it.

Great game Alex, showcasing the ruleset. Even better to use your 50 year old figures. Lots more longer battle reps please.

Just painting an army for Pikeman's Lament and this was very useful. Is the QFS available to download?

On reflection, using the re-roll house rule was probably a mistake. Since artillery are part of the game for this period, it would make their use far more risky and makes you think is it worth having them, or at least delaying their use after all other units have been activated, due to the difficulty in using them. If I play a game at the club, I will not use that house rule. I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for a great video Alec! I’ve been wondering about some of the things in the background during your intro. Seems you were in the army/air force and/or a music producer?! Just curious 😊

The medals are my fathers and grandfathers, both who served in the army. Grandad was at Mons, or in that area when he was wounded, dad was in the Parachute Regiment all his army career, ending up a Major. The discs are when I worked as a product manager at EMI Records in the 70s - 90’s and was indeed involved on the production side. Good times.
