One of the greatest and most fulfilling things you can do in this life is to praise the Lord with all your heart. Today we will practice our español while learning to praise our Lord with one of the most beautiful and powerful verses in the Bible, 1 Chronicles 29:11.

Thank you for your videos! I have been curious about the Spanish pronunciation of b and v so I've been paying attention. I know academia insists that they are pronounced the same but listening to native Spanish speakers it oftentimes isn't true. It also doesn't seem to be true historically nor seem sensible for it to be so. Maybe it's because of the significant influence English has but many Spanish speakers pronounce their b like a b and their v like a soft v. Language is always evolving. Maybe we'll see Spanish relax it's robotic pronunciation to some extent the way French evolved (but hopefully not so much!)

You have a keen ear FLMS. You’re right, a number of Spanish speakers do pronounce the v as a soft v. I believe this does vary by country and even region per country. I’ve been to Honduras and Nicaragua and I mostly heard b for the v sound. In Mexico I’ve heard both v sound and b sound. And finally, I’ve heard Spaniards use a heavier v sound than my family from Mexico for example. So I don’t think there will ever be a set way that it’s pronounced, but I mention it in my teaching as just about every Spanish speaker will understand what is being said if the v is pronounced like a b. Saludos. Glad to have you here. I use what would be the equivalent of the NASB in Spanish: La Nueva Biblia de Las Americas (NBLA). They are both produced by the Lockman Foundation. The NBLA is an excellent Spanish translation and I highly recommend it.

I'm very sure that I'm not the only one to humbly suggest that you use the good ole King James Version. Also, I most certainly would appreciate the Spanish versions that use a word for God's personal name as close to "YHWH" as possible, rather than the replacement word LORD or SENOR. Otherwise I have nothing but compliments & gratitude for your fine, effective work! ❤️ in Jesus' Great Name!!!
