Hi again. The Showtec controller is a Scanmaster 2. At the end of the first chase it goes into blackout, stops, waits a few moments and then starts the chase again.

hi sorry its taken so long but as you probably guessed im a working DJ / productions company can you tell me wich scan master 2 you have got ie the one with teh pan tilt wheels or the one with the joy stick as i have a feeling you will be able ot cure the problem with a master reset you will loose anything you have programed in to it but is no use if you can only run through one chase and then it blacks out

it depends on your cans some times there is more tan 10 dips like the ones in the video each manufacture has a diffrent way of setting the extra dips up (the control switches) ie if they arnt in the rigt place tey will set a colour or set tem to run internal programs or just plain not work ect

Hey man. I can count. You got the third light wrong I think if I follow you correctly. The third light would start on channel 7 not 8 as you said. Apologies if I'm wrong. This video is brilliant by the way - we learned a hell of a lot. Thanks M8. Cheers

Not sure if this question has already been asked but is it possible to double up a light? Like set the dip-switches of two lights to channel one of the controler and so-on?

it depends on your cans each manufacture has a diffrent way of setting up the extra switches that control the mode of the can ie master slave sound to light ect

What! No prise for spotting the mistake!!! One question we wanted to ask you was concerning a chase program. We have a Showtec controller and at the end any programmed chase it always goes into blackout. Have you any ideas how to stop this? All the best.

So Just to be clear do i need a dimmer rack for Par cans with conventional bulbs? If so how do they fit into the daisy chain.

I have 12 LED Par Cans and they have 7 DMX Channels on each... If I would like to double up each light Eg First 2 lights on Address 1 do I then put my next 2 lights to Channel 8??? and keep continuing the process? I just want to create basic Scenes and Chasers...

each light when you address it is designed to be assigned to each button on the controller as a fixture, and the first channel on each light will be assigned to the first fader on the board... but there is a way to make the board take more fixtures by addressing them diffrently the only problem is it then gets complicated by having to remember wich lights are on wich button and where there first channel starts

Ok i still cant figure this out,im pretty good at knowing alot of stuf but this just throws me for a loop . I have 8 Chauvet 64-36b lights that i am hooking up to an elaiin dmx controller .I ran the dmx out of the controller to the fixture,than that fixture out to the next and so on,i dont know how to set each fixture .i want to be able to make them all turn the same color at the same time ,

sorry about the time its taken to reply ... yes you got it just double up the next address if you are on an old style board like the one in the video ten you would put the next address as i did in part 4 if you are using software that is addressable then you would just add te next pair of lights at address number 8 as you suggested

Hi nope the question hasent been asked and yes you can as long as they are both the same light (ie work on the same channels as the other ) the controller will then make the lights on the same channel do the same thing a fast easy way to do up lights without a chase but not so good for movers or scanners as they will do the same thing but not necesrally point to the same place

there are apps for IOS and Android that can do the dipswitch calculation for you. On IOS your best bet is an app called DMX Dip.
