Learn to sew for beginners Lesson 1: Backstitch to make a pillowcase!

I want to teach you to sew. My Sewing lessons will be free here on KZbin. We will be starting with hand stitching. This is a tutorial for beginning sewers the basic stitch of the backstitch. I also show how to thread a needle for hand sewing. I have nearly 30 years of experience sewing and will teach you from the beginning. Disclaimer* I forgot to include in the video that you will be using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. If you are not confident you can stitch a straight line then you would mark 1/2 inch in from the edge of your fabric with a washable pen and stitch down the marked line.
