Wow! This actually helped me get to the basic subharmonic sound! You just made this "click" for me in 1,5 minutes. :D Thank you!

Some of us can't do subs, but it's awesome hearing you rock them! 𝄢🎶

Anyone actually can its just do you have enough time to learn. iv hurd really high pitch people hit insanely low notes so it's just practice. also iv been hearing and beatboxing for 10 years so take that as you will

Thank you so much, I was kinda aware but I didn’t realize that this technique could be basically used as bass falsetto. Very interesting

Dang, I'm fairly young with no vocal training, but I've been able to do the vocal fry for a while. I've studied music, but I didn't know how to get those clean subharmonics. Thanks for this, gonna try and get down there; loved hitting those deep notes, even if they aren't quite polished yet.

The other day i hit the deepest i have ever hit with subharmonics after i watched this video. Very good tutorial!

Subharmonics are amazing. I'm a mezzo-soprano, and my normal voice goes down to F3 if I really push it. But with subharmonics I can flip(?) my G3 into a G2, and I can sing subharmonics up to *just* F3, so that would extend my voice all the way from G2 to D#6. I can't sing everything equally as comfortably but it's really cool that I can already sort of produce the sounds, I just have to practise a LOT to make it comfortable. Also something I found out: if I make a subharmonic G#2 out of a G#3 and I relax even more, it drops to like an E2 or something? I would call it sub-subharmonic and I am really curious what it does, because the existence of it implies one could theoretically (or practically?) keep on "halving" the frequency endlessly!... With sub-subharmonics included, my possible voice range currently starts at D2 and goes up to D#6 🤯🤯

I will try this one but I think this is something I have somehow managed to learn also. But I know I cant get as low as you do but I still can go deeper than my normal voice! :)

I can do chest-fry but it doesn't sound great. I'll try this and see if I can get cleaner low notes

How do I stop it from creaking and get it to be full like yours

That just means your using too much fry, so either add more air or remove more air

everyone knows how to do that. no one ever says how to make it LOUDER. bc thats way harder to explain, clearly. lol

Unless you're a true bass there's not much you can do to make it louder without help from a mic.

@@Pretzils1031 even most basses it isnt very loud without a mic.

Normally when starting out, it is natural to have your mouth close smaller. What you want to do is use your mouth shape as a speaker. Try different shapes with your mouth. I am horrible at explaining though. But imagine your mouth is like this "o" you want it to be like a horn "O". Its just practice. (It does change the sound quite a bit.) And generally, the lower you go, the quieter it gets. My E1 needs a Mic, but anything above a f1 is pretty audible. Remember, This is a technique that isn't really known and has basically been all trial and error. Drink lots of water and sound like a madman experimenting. Eventually you will get the muscle memory down, and with good foundations you can experiment (And don't neglect other parts of the bass techniques, inwards bass, pure vocal fry, 2nd subs. are all good to increase your adaptability)
@17ischaemiaАй бұрын
it's actually quite simple, you just have to take a subharmonic of the note that you can project loudly with distinct high harmonics. you have to keep those very high harmonics in the subharmonic note and that way your subharmonic will be really strong

for me, for example, it is Bb2 and Bb1 that really cuts through, although it also depends on the time of day
