Thank you Reva, this is a great overview. I started using PE Design with version 4 around 08. It has gotten easier over the years, but it’s so very rich in features, it’s easy to forget things, especially if there is a gap in using it. One note on text. If you have a large text, and it’s in satin stitching, you may want to convert it to a fill, because large areas of satin don’t turn out too well.

thank you I had no idea hope to use this software you made it so easy with your simples explanation that I could under stand being of the older brigade Was trying to do a quilt label. Probably did it the long was but I got it done.I have never used software before

Thank you for doing this video tutorial. If you have PE 11, can you transfer your design wirelessly to a Baby Lock Venture? Or do you have to have Palette 11?

You can use the free design database software for Baby Lock to transfer.

Yes, you can do that. To gain experience on how a tile scene stitches, you might consider starting with one that is ready to go from a company line OESD or Anitagood Design. That might give you a more confident foundation as you design your own in software.

I wish when you delete something or use just the keyboard to manipulate something, you would say how you are doing it on the keyboard. I know it is second nature for you, but it is not for me. Also, when moving words and such around, I had to go to a different group to find out why I could not do it. Somehow I had "Snap to Grid" checked. It was hours and hours of frustration, so I had put this software on the back burner for months because of it. Otherwise, I loved your video and learned a lot. Thank you very much!!

I had Palette 11 on my old laptop (windows 10) I installed it on my new laptop (windows 11) it will open files that I previously opened on my old laptop. I cannot get it to open new files - I tried to find it as an app on my laptop but it is not showing. Can you help?

Using an external hard drive would be a good idea if you are afraid of your computer crashing.
