However, here are a few topics in arrangement of how a beginner would experience - #a Which Harmonica to buy to get going and general sanitisation tips for instruments and self 😀. #b Choosing between Chromatic and Diatonic and the differences between Harmonicas basis number of holes, keys etc. #c Need to have a backup instrument and which instrument to use for practice and which to use sparingly # Puckering or tongue block or both # How to begin as in, what exercises to do (Scales, beginner's songs, grip etc) #Breathing # An ideal learner's approach (Avoid overplaying - attempting songs when not ready or jumping from song to song without mastering any). Very simply taught, SirJi I am using 24 Hole Song Star Suzuki Harmonica. Is it possible to play octave toung slapping (for राही मनवा दुखकी चिंता).I am really impressed by your technique of toung slapping i.e. La,La,La Thanks Sir Ji 🙏

In a 24 hole harmonica, you need to have mouth which is large enough to cover the octave range from the left and right corner of your lips. Most people are unlikely to have that big a mouth. So a 12 hole chromatic is best suited for octave playing. But the tongue slapping will still work on your 24 hole Songstar chromatic. Happy playing !!

Sir, very good explanation of vamping technique. I think your harmonica is Hohner 270. Earlier I had it. But its comb got cracked. Therefore after replacing the comb, I sold it. How do you manage with wooden comb? Please advise. Thanks sir

Thanks for liking the technique. Yes, you are right. I am playing a Hohner 270. It lasted me for 27 years before a few reeds got broke finally. I have not done anything yet to it. I have bought a Suzuki Sirius Harmonica which is a 12 hole chromatic and is working well for me.

I will try n make a video on 4 hole harmonica. Truly speaking, it is just a toy harmonica used for using as a key chain. But it can be fun. I am not sure what you mean when you say playing high and low octave notes on middle octave. Can you elaborate it more? Are you talking about playing two octaves together?

Absolutely!! This term has been in use for ages in the harmonica community across the world. I do not know the reason why it was called that. But I continue to use the word as people know it by the same name. Chordal vamping is another term but somehow this term is more in use in India.
