İn 'binlerce' the -cE suffix indicates 'a lot of, too much..' e.g, günlerce, yıllarca (a lot of days, too many years), while in Gelince it's not just a -cA' but -IncA suffix, which gives the meaning of (when) some action is performed, e.g Biz kahvaltı yapınca dostum geldi (when we took breakfast, my friend would come) in above example the personal suffix(es) indicate(s) the doer, while the clause without -IncA suffix tells us the tense, the above example might be, Kahvaltı yapınca dostum gelir, Kahvaltı yapınca dostum gelecek. Hope so it will help you😊

How do I know when to use öğrenmek or öğremeye for "to learn" in a sentence? For example the first sentences under Fortunately and Moreover in today's lesson. Thank you very much.

Can I ask a question? In the sadece de example sentence 1, why is it yeni kelimeler öğrenmeyeceğiz , not yeni kelimeleri?

Aynen öyle!! So i noticed. The present progressive is more common in türkçe. But don't you use a simple present tense for routines, or do you use the continuous form for both simple and progressive meaning? Teşekkür ederim!
@LearnTurkishvia

Mostly we use progressive for both. But for routines you can use simple present tense too for sure. Just it's not common. For scientific facts, always simple present tense , with no doubt.

My cat bites me all the time. Not biting me. It's a simple present tense, a habit, not a continuous tense. But if it were continuous as in: my cat is sooop annoying that she's biting me all the time. But then the Turkish tens demonstrated here doesn't match.

the thing is, most of the time it's the present continuous tense that's used in Turkish rather than the regular present tense. This is especially a problem in translation.

Every language has its own unique features. In Turkish, we mostly use present continuous tense instead of simple present tense even if it is a habit. The simple present tense is used mostly for scientific facts only.
