I purchased one of those auto focus Samsung dome cameras that sit inside a vandal proof glass dome. if it rains and it gets a water drop on the glass the camera focuses on the water drop and the background remains out of focus until the water drop as dried up. It is very annoying also cobweb spiders are attracted to the infrared on CCTV cameras and if my camera gets focused on a spider it sometimes gets stuck on that focus and I have to push reset. Expensive camera it was but I think I made a mistake buying a auto focus.

I enjoy your vids, but I have yet to see a vid on how to change any IP camera's IP address. I need to designate a static address for 5 of my Chinese IP PTZ cameras, and so far, no luck. No app or software I've tried will do this. The Daihua XVR I have will not change an IP address. Only app I know of that allows an IP address change is V380S. Maybe a HIkvision XVR has more deluxe features...for $400.00 + Cad. dollars. Yikes !

Just log into the camera using a eb browser and open the network menu. You can change the IP address there. The principle is the same for any IP camera, computer, IP Phone or whatever device that connects to a network. You can change your Dahua or Hikvision IP camera to the same network range and use a software or recorder that works with both or use the ONVIF protocol that's universal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3SboHqam6-emqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHnTkohnjcmXhdU
