In school History textbooks here in India , He is called Hiuen Tsang . He actually visited India during the reign of Emperor Harshavardhan .

Journey to the West is such an amazing story . I wish someone would start a video series , visiting those places mentioned in the story and try to find similarities between the book and the places .

Kinda sad no footage from the 1996 TVB version was used. That show was only second to the 1986 version.

Space-Keteers, Saiyuki & Dragon Ball are all anime based on Journey to the West. Even then, a lot of anime, from Grendizer, to Fist of the North Star to Naruto and even Lovely Soldier Sailor Moon, have all borrowed from Journey/West if you know to look.

Off topic here. I have read all four translated volumes of Journey to the west to the west, for myself it was mostly about the adventures of Sun Wu Kong who just in case people didnt know was actually a Demon, but to me it was as story more about sun wu kong then about anything else.

The boots he took turns out to be a good move for Wukong. Despite him being able to fly as unlike both Bajie and Sandy, he wasn't beaten down to earth as punishment. Him wrecking havoc in heaven had all the gods and generals beaten to a pulp that even Yuwang was afraid of him thus no one could banish him straight up. It took Rulai to subdue him and even Rulai didn't banish him as a mere mortal but just locking him in the cave that Rulai made with his palm. So when Tangsheng went to seek Wukong, Wukong still had all his powers whereas Sandy and Bajie lost theirs or was significantly reduced due to being banished to earth as punishment whereas Tangsheng being a pure human monk, had no powers whatsoever. This made flying impossible for all 3 of them and with Wukong being the only person who had the power to transform into bats and birds to fly on top of his actual godly (Some might even say it's demonly) powers untapped, he cannot carry all 3 of them including Bai Long Ma (White Horse. Basically the son of the Western Sea Dragon King) thus him having the boots was godsend as he can now make clouds with the boots to ferry all of them across dangerous plains of impassable passes easily without them bypassing the ranges.

Sorry, but Sandy's weapon can healt sandy when he was hurt in battle. If it is true, in which episode is this ability of the staff used?

Bro You are Wrong. 2nd Bodyguard is Zhu Bajie. Tian Peng General. Sha Wujing is The Third And Youngest one. But the way you explained the Bajie Weapon is So Nice.

Actually we didn't state the order specifically, we just said them in a random order with Monkey King last, but year maybe would have been better to go Sandy>Pigsy>Monkey King

最近正好在重看西游记，孙悟空在获得如意金箍棒后又向东海龙王讨要盔甲，东海龙王一再说没有，最后不得不请来其他三位龙王，另外三位龙王各自出了一件装备，凑了三件套打发了孙悟空。我觉得孙悟空讨要盔甲一方面是因为他既然当了大王，又有了新武器，需要一身相匹配的装备以彰显他的身份，第二个原因也有可能是确实需要护身。西游记第七回开篇，孙悟空被押上斩妖台处刑，但是大砍斧多，火烧雷劈都不能伤他分毫，太上老君说“那“猴吃了蟠桃，饮了御酒，又盗了仙丹，我那五壶丹，有生有熟，被他都吃在肚里，运用三昧火，煅成一块，所以浑做金钢之躯，急不能伤。” 据此可以推断在大闹蟠桃会之前，孙悟空并非刀枪不入，所以需要铠甲护身。
