You explained basics of SFL in a good manner but viewers are unable to understand and grasp these ideas until and unless they understand the architecture of language Halliday has discussed. For example, physical, biological, social and semiotic systems. Local and global semiotic dimensions of language: content plane and expression plane etc. How language is used to express ecosocial experiences? How discourse analysis is practiced using SFL. I think first you should have videoed on the structure of language so as the students could get 'know how ' of where Halliday puts Lexicogrammar, Discourse, Phonology and sociocultural context in his model.
