Alexa: Here is some information you and your viewers may find helpful. 1. A bathrobe is a type of dressing gown (for men or women) one puts on after taking a bath or shower or also after getting out of a swimming pool. It is intended to be put on to keep warm after drying off with a towel (serviette de bain) but sometimes is put on immediately (especially at a swimming pool). A bathrobe is typically made from the same material as a towel (terry cloth / tissu-éponge) but often is thick and plush (en peluche). Also, some British-American English information: 2. "trainers"="sneakers" Sneakers are good soft shoes to walk quietly in so one can sneak around (se glisser/se faufiler). 3. "jumper"="sweater" Sweaters are warm to wear when it is cold but if you wear one when it is warm you will start to sweat (être en sueur). 4. Americans use "pajamas" (puh-JAMM-uhs) or just "PJ's" (PEE-jays) for short. 5. American women usually identify their swimsuits as being either a one-piece (like your example) or a two-piece (like a bikini) suit. American men commonly wear swimming "trunks" (shorts) and I have no idea why they are called that. There are many other names for swimsuits like "thong" (for women) and "speedo" (for men) but these are used for very specific models/designs.

A lovely video! You can say a bathrobe for dressing gown, as it's something you often wear just after a bath or shower. In French is un peignoir the same as une robe de chambre? Perhaps we could say un tailleur is a skirt-suit and un costume is a trouser-suit, would that work? Also, is there a difference between des pantoufles and des chaussons? Merci et bisous!

I don't know what the British people call it (dressing gown?!) but here in good old etats-unis we call it bath robe...So don't feel like you made that word up :) I live in Boston and travel a good amount to Vermont (Tooons of french people ) There's also quite a bit of French people living around here so these videos help alot! I believe it's " je porte un pantalon bleu et une veste grise". It's "grise" because "une veste" is feminine, but you could say, for example "un pantalon gris." Good job!!
