This was my first introduction to power query. I’ve seen it before and heard about it. Your part one made an easy transition to part 2, where it gets good. Thank you

What if I just need to highlight the matched row not create a table?
@excelworx87122 жыл бұрын
Then you dont need to go any far. Just use conditional formatting

how about paste a list of data on a sheet to compare all of the data at once with the data on another sheet?
@Moshpearl3 жыл бұрын
This is brilliant. But does this work for datas that has updated information. For example big sheets with username, address, phone number. Sometimes there will be new users, sometimes there will be phone number updated or sometimes there will be updated address. My question is: In this method shown in video you can map the data if all the values are same and it pulls data with same values I guess and the missing rows, But will this work for any updated values? If not could you suggest which method helps for regular monthly updates for big excel files.

Yes, you would just need to click the refresh button.

Hi, Thank you so much for this video. Very helpful! I was fiddling with vlook up and IF/error condition for a week to merge data and this one turned out to be piece of cake :) Only thing not clear is.. when there is data over 5k between two work sheets, the results showing only 33 lines for merging and rest come as "null". I am unable to understand or overcome this.. it would be really helpful if you can let me know how to use the technique for lines over 5k lines in an excel across multiple tabs. Thank you!

It seems like your values in two worksheets don't really match.

Excellent tutorial professor! Just one question, is it possible to do this for more than 2 tables?

Hello, what if my tables have different headers but with unique texts in both tables. How do i match them. kind regards
@ExcelGoogleSheets4 жыл бұрын
Doesn't have to have the same header. Just click on the column from each table that has to match.

@@ExcelGoogleSheets Thank you for your response. However, after merging my table takes longer time to load the null entities/identify the data that match. I habe never succeeded in all my trial. Please what could be wrong?

Part 1 of this Excel tutorial can be used in Google Sheets. You won't be able to do Power Query stuff in Google Sheets though.
