It is not adviseable to start learning Igbo language on youtube moreover there is no kids here. We don't want foreigners to disguise as an Igbo and start teaching us Igbo language, it is not hard to see. We wanted Igbo novel not for child but for adults Google did not show one then i began to think if there was no Igbo nevels during our school time.

Nde ewo. Of recent I felt so ashamed that I speak and write three European languages, strong understanding of few Italian dialects, but sadly I can only speak one Nigerian language. I have started learning Igbo language thanks to you and your videoclips. Also, I am learning Hausa at the moment. Oh my goodness me what an amazing technology teachings of our mother's language Igbo. I have been searching for this thanks to the almighty Elo_him that I just came across this today. It's not enough to just be Nigerian, you have to be specific. There are 200+ ethnicities in Nigeria. Lagos is in the South West and despite having a large Igbo population in some areas...is mostly Yoruba. They mostly speak in this order Pidgin (everyone understands this), Yoruba, English, and in some areas Igbo. Igbo is spoken predominantly in the South East.

I notice that the igbo word for " How are you" which you say is "kedu" is similiar to the Jamaica patios word of "How-dedu" which means the same thing.

Jamaican patois has a lot of Igbo influence. Unu (plural for you), be m (my home), etc are Igbo words.

My husband is Igbo and I’ve been relaxed in learning because we speak English to each other but I’m having a baby in 8 months and I need to learn because he’s going to teach the baby Igbo and I’m going to be left out . Thanks for this good start.

I’m almost 18 and I’ve been asking my parents to teach me Igbo since I was really young. We don’t live in Nigeria and they only speak to me in English. I want to learn Igbo and surprise them.
