The things that really caught me about this chapter was remembering Yoongi lovingly and earnestly writing 300+ messages on sticky notes for ARMY, how young YOUNG JK was back then, how Lee Sooman is not a person anyone should be praising (look him up now), how much pressure Namjoon constantly dealt with defending his choice to be an “Idol vs rapper/artist” (whatever THAT means)… these men have gone through so much while staying humble and kind and genuine people. I’m so grateful for this series and grateful that the boys are thriving and happy today.

My heart aches for Namjoon. Not only did he have to carry the immense pressure of being the leader of BTS at a time when they were quite poor and new with the future uncertain, but he was constantly receiving hate from underground rappers for not being "Hip Hop enough." Even the people who he considered his friends talked bad about him, his music, and BTS. I'm so glad Joonie has the rest of the BTS boys--his members that never fail to show how much they love and appreciate him and his hard work.

their B-sides are what get them to this level tbh, i didn't even start with their title tracks when they debut , i never heard of them or their company, but i liked their songs, esp Suga's production, and i would look for subtitles , the 1st time i care in a K-pop group, then i checked out their live performance, got hooked and here i am, 8 yrs later.

It never fails, everytime I see that clip of video of Hobi crying it makes me emotional. I can't even imagine being that young and not being able to see your parents for long periods of time. You guys have to watch the full video of that, it is so touching and sad to see Hoseok missing his family. And all the things Namjoon had to go through to find himself. I will never understand why his suppose to be friends just gave him crap instead of being happy for him. They never even tried to understand fully why he chose to become an idol and just judged and said he was making a mistake and giving him crap. Well, the jokes on them. Namjoon is an amazing lyricist and was able to create his own music with the help of really friends and now his brothers. So glad that in the end he didn't give it up because of what others said to him or about him. Best way of revenge is success. 💜

Totally agree! My biggest motivation is when someone tells me I can't do something. I just look at them and say watch me! I'm so grateful Namjoon and the others had that attitude and worried about what they wanted for themselves, not what others expectations were for them 💜

Jungkook went to a performing arts high school where a lot of young kpop artists also attended so he wasn't that popular. Also he rarely attended school because of BTS hectic schedule.

The fan chant order is easy, it’s leader first, then oldest to youngest with BTS at the end. It’s always a bit off though at concerts because different people start it at different times and because Joonie’s name is first it’s normally the quietest and it then gets louder towards the end as more people join in lol.

This series is phenomenal really, it gives so much insight to what the boys went through to get where they are today. You are right about Hobi, we rarely see him this emotional...the video clip here doesn't show it all but this was a birthday surprise for him. They all left home at a young age and only rarely saw their families, as I understand it. So when Hobi heard his family sending him messages he was overwhelmed. I cry every time I watch that video, I just feel bad knowing how much they missed their families, esp during holidays etc. I've only seen JHope cry like that one other time, the same awards ceremony when Jin disclosed that they had considered disbanding. They are such an exceptional group of young men and I'm so glad to be a part of their ARMY. Also have you guys not heard Rise of Bangtan yet? What other early songs are you missing out on?? I hope you will react to the ones you haven't seen/heard, SO many good songs! How about House of Cards, Tomorrow, Let Me Know, Autumn Leaves, Move, Look Here? :)

What were your thoughts on RM and his reflections with what he was saying? It would be nice if you could comment on his parts too as this was really insightful into what he went through and how it affected him at the beginning and the battle he was facing between idol and artist and how hard he works writing and supporting the group like jhope said "everyday is work for Rapmon". I know your biases are suga/jhope but it would be nice to see you engage with all three and not just your favourites thanks. 💜

I wish you had said something about the things Namjoon said. He said some really important and thoughtful stuff. I know yoongi and hobi are your biases but this particular episode mainly showed all the backlash he faced as someone who left the underground hip hop scene to be an idol that too a leader of an idol group and primary songwriter of the group. I hope you talk about the members who aren’t your biases too. BTS is 7.

I think the highlight of this chapter for me was Yoongi purchasing the snacks/drinks with his own money and handwriting 300+ different notes, and making a personalized sticker to give to ARMY on his own birthday! That was so kind and sweet! I wish you guys watch each chapter to the end including the preview and credits. I would like to see your full reaction because some scenes in the credits are really funny. I really like these longer reaction videos and that was my only complaint I guess. GVG💜

would be really fun if you did a marathon of like 10 episodes of Bangtan Bombs since the beginning until now to see the boys how they grow… bangtan bombs sometimes lasts from 2 mins to 10 mins even… reactors usually just watch compilations and call it a day but i think compilations and introduction videos shorten the clips and you don’t see the whole thing but just take it into consideration guys 🤍

Our guys never broke a promise, so we always keep ours. Being in this fandom since early 2015 and having known them for even longer, it’s so nostalgic to go through this journey again. I think this series makes every long term ARMY cry because damn, I’m just thinking about everything that wasn’t included in these documentaries. I’m so glad so many new ARMY joined our family and got this beautiful documentary to literally relive the journey. We were all there from the start, because no matter when you joined, their journey is out there for all of us to feel connected to. That guy that “looked swaggy” is the king Bangyongguk, leader of (the former BAP). If you haven’t checked their stuff out, you should. Especially One Shot and Skydive MVs..their B sides were always amazing too (just maybe don’t listen to the Carnival album first😂). They also sang about social issues and criticized the media with their music…just amazing. Yongguk is very sumilar to NamJoon in many ways

Please understand BTS is different from other Kpop groups and BigHit is different from other idol music companies. These first few episodes can be misleading because it makes you think BTS management follows these guidelines the other idol members from other companies are talking about, but BTS and BigHit don’t do those things. Notice how when it is said idols don’t have a lot of creative freedom, you see Namjoon and Yoongi writing lyrics, or when it says idols have phone bans or something, you see the BTS members on their phones, or how when idols say they aren’t allowed to go outside the dorm, you see Yoongi walking around freely. It can be a confusing thing for new ARMY to make note of, but PLEASE notice these differences. It is vital to how BigHit runs differently, and therefore why BTS is so different from other idol groups from the very start.

I just want to say that harsh requirements like checking phones, banning dating, etc. do not apply to BTS. BigHit (BTS's company) has given them the freedom to express themselves, that's why BTS is different from the rest of K-pop. They freely express their feelings in the song without being forced by anyone. Even though they are very popular now, they are still people who truly love music, respect everyone, and are always grateful to their fans.
