I'm finally at the point in my learning of Japanese that I can finally break down and understand every word and character of the sentence at 33:31. In Japanese, it looks like ぼくのちさいちんちんをあつかてください。 In Romanji, it is said like "Boku no chisai chinchin o atsukate kudasai" あつかう or "atsukau" is the unconjugated verb we're using, it means "to take care (of me)" and Arin here is using this verb in Te form, which is a complex Japanese conjugation systems that has several different uses, but in this sentence it's used along with ください "kudasai" to make a polite request. ぼく "boku" is another word for I, but is used majorly by men, ちさい "chisai" means small or tiny, and of course ちんちん "chinchin" is penis.

1:21 In German the United States are called "die Vereinigten Staaten"
@KairuHakubi5 жыл бұрын
yeah US is a bad example since it's just words, not a proper noun. when they have different names for _america_ that's a different story. because the country (and the continents) is named after an actual italian guy. and thank god they went with his first name, I wouldn't wanna be the united states of vespuccia. When proper nouns are different, it's a mystery and a confuse. in the case of germany/deutchland/allemande for example, those are different-ass words with different origins, but the area as a whole took a while to come together into one country. and then other times we just pronounce shit wrong out of laziness.
@kyomademon4535 жыл бұрын
@@KairuHakubi theyre not "ass words" germany comes from Germania, Allemagne/Alemania from the alamani tribe one of the germanic tribes, Deutschland means land of the people in german

I said different-ass words, not different ass-words. For someone so knowledgeable about words, you'd think you'd know how hyphens work.
@hotpotatosalad83985 жыл бұрын
@Kairu Hakubi Actually hyphens do more than just connect two words. They also work between segments of a sentence (to be brief about it), so ManOhMan’s misunderstanding of your meaning isn’t unrealistic or silly. He/she also wasn’t showing off words knowledge, he/she was giving the origin of -names- because it sounded like you were trashing on the names to him/her. Simple mistake is all it was.
@KairuHakubi5 жыл бұрын
What you mean like when someone uses a hyphen to separate out allusions - separate sentence clauses - like that? because you add spaces when you do that, and often make a double-hyphen. i will grant that the colloquial -ass suffix is not fully obvious all the time.

German was the second language that I learned, after my native English. The German word for "German" is "Deutch", and the German word for "Germany" is "Deutchland", literally "German land". When I went to Germany as a foreign exchange student, I knew some German, but I didn't know the German words for other countries. I tried to say something about France, so, taking a cue from the German word for Germany, and knowing that the German word for French was "Französisch", I said called France "Französischland", literally "French land", and my "little brother" in my host family just started cracking up. The older brother corrected me: it's actually "Frankreich", literally "kingdom of the Franks".

When the Mongols first invaded Japan, the Japanese samurai did what they always did and stepped out, announcing their names, lineage, and all that jazz, thinking that they were going to challenge the Mongols to honorable single combat. @@RealRabidRabbit It might stick better, but no way it can teach you enough to be considered fluent if it doesn't go faster later on. And I don't like that it oversimplifies the grammar. Means you learn it wrong at first out of convenience and then have to re-learn it properly later.
