This is the first video in a series of videos designed to help you learn your letters, numbers, punctuation and prosigns. As I have mentioned before, the best way to learn Morse Code is to check out LICW - Long Island CW Club, or the CW Ops academy. Of course, many dont feel like they want to commit to a formal program - maybe this course is for you.
Videos will appear each week and start to walk you through learning Morse Code.

Nice to give back! 18 is about right. I started at 18,3. Then jumped into a zoom room with some guys in Wyoming and it was 23,3 roundtable. Learned a lot with those guys.

Hi, it’s nice you are putting this training in place. I’ve already started learning CW using the Morse-it iOS app. This is a very good app. It teach you letters, numbers, punctuations and special signs is a specific order. I found i was able to learn them all very quickly. Once you learn the first few letters, the rest come very quickly. I’m looking forward for your courses. Thanks! Claude

I just now started this course, so my apologies if you answer this sometime soon. It appears that the Logikey keyers are out of production and hard to find. Any suggestions for reasonable alternatives that are easily obtained?
@k9kj

@@GarySchiltz this might be a good video for me to record. There are a number of good options out there. Sometimes you can find these on eBay, or qth.com, but another favorite of mine is the win keyer
@GarySchiltz
@GarySchiltz 2 ай бұрын
@@k9kj Thanks, I'll check out building a WinKeyer or similar kit. Meanwhile, it looks like your course mainly emphasizes receiving over sending anyway, so I'll work on that while deciding what to get for a keyer. BTW, I'm retired and have some time on my hands these days. I got my General class FCC license years ago and have kept it active, but my CW skills have gotten very rusty through disuse, so I'm just going to start from the ground up. Once I'm comfortable enough, I will get my reciprocal license here in Ecuador where I retired to, and will probably start with CW QRP. I appreciate your course. '73 de W5PAZ (/HC1 eventually).

@@mrisakson oh my gosh! I forgot that I used that for the video! I got that from a friend and it needed repair... it's a Logikey K3 keyer. I think they make a K5 now. When I was a youngster I had a K1 (had only 4 buttons on top). Sorry about the confusion there 😁
