First, a story from Taiwan. Single women there are freezing their eggs fo use in the future if they want to become mothers. However, a law bars them from using frozen eggs to become pregnant if they do not have husbands. Bryan Lynn reports.
Then Ashley welcomes Anna Matteo to the studio for an introduction to today's segment of the LE program Early Literacy: Letter-sound Connection (Phonics). Anna explains that phonics is the connecting point between written language and spoken language. Then, it is on to the report with Anna and co-presenter Caty Weaver.
