I've always been surprised why there is no randomization in the Woodpecker method. Same applies to chessable - no ability to randomize problems, they always come in the same order.

@@BetterChessTraining There are one super big problem with Chessable Spaced Repetition system. So big I argue it is not a SRS system and professor Benjamin would agree. IT HAS NO SPACED REPETITION TIMES LONGER THAN 6 MONTH.

Great stuff! However if I may allow myself some criticism, I don't think that 58:09 makes any sense. Even 10 seconds per game would be almost 28 hours. The 10000 number that you remember probably comes from GM Korchnoi, who claimed to have studied that many 1. d4 games when he decided to go from playing 1. e4 to 1. d4. But that was not in a day of course, but over several years. There is some truth to the general idea of masters seeing multiple games a day however. GM Naiditsch has a video out there where he filmed and commentated his opening preparation against GM Sadhwani during one of the open tournaments in 2021. In that video, Naiditsch clicked through Sadhwani's games for some 20 min. But there were less than a hundred of them, and for most of the games he didn't click past move 10.

The exact number might be just an exaggeration, but it was an anecdote I had heard about how Kramnik reviews games to look for ideas. As discussed in the video, it may be the case that he knows what he's looking for, or maybe he's distilling many games using Chessbase or some other tool to limit his search. The idea was that of reviewing many games - whether that be 100 or 10000 (although yes, 10000 seems quite a lot). In any case, it was a second hand story/rumor, so I didn't mean to put too much emphasis on the specific number. Thank you for your comment.

Ben was great. I'm not good at the KZbin algorithm game but hopefully people will discover it over time.

I'm not sure what you mean. I thought he went a little above and beyond regarding looking into it. I wanted to have a conversation with him specifically because he wasn't a "chess guy" with the biases that chess players who have been training have.
