Great stuff here. So DaB always mentioned to do like 50% courses and 50% drawing for yourself, fun stuff. My issue is I never really had a concrete reason WHY I wanted to learn how to draw except maybe to support the 3D modeling I'm also learning. Because of this I have problems coming up with things to draw in my "draw for fun" part. Looks like you do not suffer from this. I have drawn stuff from around the house but not all of it was stuff I wanted to draw. Well time to get back to your playlist

When I first started DaB it did not mention the 50% split and I just saw it this time around. It is hard for me to make time for drawing for fun + working on fundamentals. But for me, it is easier to do something when there is some structure, so the curriculum really helps! It's hard for me to draw for fun sometimes too. Either because some internal pressure takes the fun out of it, or because there is no obvious choice... I hope that the more practice we get working with drawing fundamentals that may or may not interest us, the easier it will get to know where the fun is and also to get to have fun drawing. DaB seems wise to mention we have to carve the time to try our own things. Thank you for your contribution!

I suggest to look for illustrators online who make drawings that are inspiring to you. Or try to remember animated movies you loved growing up or games with art you love. See if you can find artisys who draw a similar style and watch them draw. It can inspire you to find fun in drawing or narrow down specific things you want to draw

@@charylpatrice2454 tnx for the info. What I've noticed is stuff like slightly crumpled curtains with shading and highlighted creases or my wife's purse that was plopped down on the counter in low light, again, with the shading and highlighted creases are some of the things the yelled at me to draw them.
