Casamigos needs to be chilled or on ice to hide all the additive flavors 🤣 Good tequila does not need lime and can be enjoyed neat. People that buy this and other celebrity tequila, are drinking them because they think they are good. Try Fortaleza, Siete Leguas, G4, Lalo, El Tequileno, Tapatio, El Tesoro, etc. Real Tequila, made traditionally with no additives 😊

Nice video, if you buy additive free tequila the flavor is so much better! Blanco El Tesoro, G4, Forteleza, Tequila Ocho, have awesome flavor! True agave and not much burn. Then go to the reposado and Anejo for even more flavor. I drink all of these neat only.

I am totally new at drinking cocktails, i recently tasted a carajillo, mojito and a margarita (not at the same time though, different occasions) when I tasted the margarita it was a strawberry margarita and it was pure tequila I never felt the strawberry and it was extremely salty as well and I wondered if this was supposed to taste like, watching your video gives a nice and healthy introduction to find the flavors I like, cheers from Mexico!!!

Nah bruh! You definitely sip Tequila Blanco NEAT. You don't drink CACAMIGOS neat in ANY form (Blanco, Repo, Añejo or XA). 1st of all.. wrong tequila. 2nd of all.. wrong glass. 3rd of all... you could let it breathe and Open up and you're good to go. Try a Tequila like El Tesoro or Siete Leguas for starters, completely different experience.

Love the tip on rimming the glass with lime- not sure why I hadn't done that before! Even better than chilling a blanco with ice is to keep the blanco in the freezer. But for going out I get blanco chilled too. Oh man, the freezer makes a big difference to me as it doesn't get watered down. 🥳

I was just about to say that. To me its the best way to get into tequilas because there are no qualities from the barrel. And additive free tequila is the way to go. Casamigos is definitely not the one to use.

All the flavors from these tequilas you try are all from additives. Tequilas are aloud to have artificial flavors and sugar added. Also people who are tequila aficionados, not only drink and recommend neat blancos, but they prefer blanco over aged versions. Blancos are the purest expression of the agave (when properly made and not masked with additives). No aficionado will recommend lime either. That’s just to mask bad flavor from cheap tequila, popularized during a time of bad tequila in the US

Watched this vid while cracking open a bottle of JC Tradicional blanco 100% agave (yes, bottom shelf because that's what I can afford) and while I was concerned about getting a blanco (I usually go for the least expensive rep's) I am pleasantly surprised - the taste is what I expected, the character is smooth enough, and it's pleasant enough to drink the way I like to drink it - salt, shot, lime. I don't know if that's the "proper" way to do it, but that's what I like, and it gets me to where I wanna go. At the end of the day, if we're all enjoying our tequila purchases then it's all good, right? 🙂

Sooo… I highly recommend getting your hands on some high quality blanco tequila. You have some celebrity made brands there, which most are notoriously know for being additive-laiden, poorly made tequila spirits. And Patron is… a “well-crafted” agave spirit, it just has a very neutral profile with respect to other delicious agave spirits… it’s just okay, nothing complex or beautiful to experience really… You & your son deserve to be treated to a high-quality, well-crafted, traditionally made blanco - with no additives - that certainly can and should be drank neat. Barrel rested expressions are… for whiskey drinkers? Food pairing? An occasional spice for your favorite blanco? Blancos are the truth 😝

Btw there are 2 types of tequila. “Tequila” and “Tequila 100% de agave” Tequila is more for cocktails… not quite popular in Mexico Tequila 100% de agave is the real deal, which is made to drink straight. First you have to smell it in 5 steps. Taste it, drink it and take a deep breath to feel the essence. Then you’ll be enjoying the real flavor. I recommend you to try tequilas 100% de agave, try the steps and check the results. “Casa dragones”, any “reserva de la familia” and “Don Julio 1942”. I recommend those bottles. I’m Mexican and every Mexican I’ve seen drinking tequila both in the states and in Mexico (older gentleman) don’t do shots, in fact all the older men will say you don’t know how to drink and they never use lime and salt unless it’s any different then what I mostly always see. Tequila (1 shot) usually and ice and squirt (lime soda) that’s the mix and it’s sipped through out the whole night. I guess shots is seen as a inexperienced or young kid type of thing

visited Mexico for 1st time this year, was interested in trying decent tequila as tequila we are used to (uk) is crap, lime wedge salt etc etc, only folk in Mexico I saw drinking tequila this way was tourists, most Mexicans sipped straight, some had squeeze of lime and nearly all followed it with sangrita or an orange juice concoction, brought back a Patron Silver and Patron Anejos, simple squeeze of lime for me in the silver and anejos straight - superb!

Also try drinking it out of a flute glass, that will allow you to aerate your tequila before you drink. But more importantly drink it however you enjoy it best.
