Having gotten uhhh _[checks timestamp]_ 5:30 minutes into the video so far, I'm surprised at how interesting current-patch ToTK runs manage to be. I'd expected the lack of movement glitches (not so much duplication, since that's more of a casual's QoL glitch) to make things, for lack of a better word, "lame." I have been proven wrong! I'd honestly say this movement _tech_ is a lot more creative and interesting to see routed. 9:07 _"This sh_t is_ ridiculous, _by the way."_ He does not lie!!! 11:34 _"Where am I supposed to land? 'Cause I think I _*_fucking_*_ missed."_ Having now heard Quin cuss uncensored several times, I'm starting to hear his Weird intonation of said words. He curses like he's forgotten how and is a _little_ nervous about doing so for the first time in front of his friend's parents. I'm glad to see ToTK runners, too, use Fury of the Fallen strats to cheese their way through boss rushes. 23:49 L. I think the weird pronunciation of "fuck" is a Canadian accent, actually, now that I've heard it a second time. I forget Quin isn't a Yankee, lmao. 27:50 Robot Trauma TM 32:33 Insane One-Shot Protection strat. _"Go ahead and hit me, but not tooooo hard."_ BM'ing Ganon for no reason goddamn. 33:09 My "Yankee/Canadian accent" claims have been validated. Great video, as always Big Speed! I cannot speedrun games, because practicing the same move over and over would drive me completely insane, but I have a great respect for speedrunners. Great job. Now that you've mastered TOTK, I think a different Zelda speedrun is in order. Linkus says OOT, BOTW, and Wind Waker are the three best. Maybe some Wind Waker action? Haven't had a cartoon Binkus sighting in a while.

The immediate question of a ToTK speedrun is what patch it's running on. I'm not familiar with any current-patch speedruns, but assuming Quin _has_ been updating his game (likely), it's a real bitch to downgrade. (I would know.) It's even harder to get a specific update between 1.0.0 and the current patch, since you'd need a wholly separate switch with a wholly separate ToTK cartridge and preserved version. So, unless Quin's factory reset his switch and turned off auto-updates in his system's settings, I guess I'll be seeing what Normal totk speedrunners are doing nowadays. As a side-note: I was wondering what's been cooking for the past week. A fine meal, is what it was. Update: bro is not clipping through walls or duplicating every item in his inventory. Officially current patch, boys. o7

i had the same thing while trying to learn the wall jump move the gold koopa does to cheat in the Mario Odyssey Cascade Kingdom koopa race. if you don't do the same move as the koopa does, you'll NEVER win.

I'm not really a speed runner so I haven't repeated a move like that for a length of time. Have been stuck trying to beat certain bosses. Dying MANY times. For example, the Sludge like took me a couple of days to get past. Harder than Moktorok! So I can understand the frustration you have to overcome to learn moves like that. I salute you too! Plus I keep thinking of all the times Quin had to repeat fighting, all the monsters, each death. Double salute 🫡 🙌

And the best part is that unlike Botw speedruns, you don't have Zelda and the champions witnessing from the spirit realm every time you stumble off a cliff, blow yourself up with bombs or otherwise lose the run because you stubbed your toe, since this time most of the difficult stuff is underground and Zelda is a bird in the sky! And she can't even look downwards with how her eyes are shaped!
