I like how she said that "decolonization is a priority." The fact that they are teaching in the child's home language is essential for the child to value their roots and appreciate them. One of the worst things that could ever happen to Africa is that it would be so westernized that we lose indigenous ways, thought and language. Learning these things helps people not only go forward but it is also important in reconstructing the past. We have not been taught the truth about the past, so we must reconstruct these things ourselves with valuable resources of native language, thought and ways.
