Thanks a lot for your videos on InstaMAT, they're an invaluable source of knowledge for this tool. I wonder though, if an Nvidia RTX card is accepted to operate in InstaMAT, my own 3080 is considered as "uncertified" to perform raytracing. Thanks again!

I'm not very clear on this point either, but logically speaking, Nvidia's graphics cards should not encounter such issues. Moreover, the 3080 model isn't considered outdated by any means.

We're seeing a lot of traffic! Much more than we expected, we're trying to scale up our systems at this time. I think it should be smoother soon! 🫡

Personally I did not like the software. For me Substance Designer, Painter and Sampler are more intuitive and interface is more flexible. Another bad try to be a competitor to Substance family products

I don't object to the emergence of new software. Competition is better than no competition, and innovation is better than no innovation. In fact, after the Substance series software was acquired by Adobe, there has been no innovation for a long time, and its poor charging model is also quite annoying. InstaMAT has just started, and it really remains to be seen how big the innovation will be, but for beginners and start-ups, it can be used for free, which is good. At least it makes up for the missing link in the complete workflow of free 3D animation, that is, the procedure texture. Nowadays we have many alternatives to PS, and we have InstaMAT, Blender, UE5, and AI, which is good. In addition, Quixel Mixer still has some limitations in functionality, and the various Substance Designer alternative projects on GitHub may be due to the size of the development team, and there are also problems with its iteration speed and functional perfection. So, why not give InstaMAT a chance.

@@kevinhu1136 MAT can do significantly more than you can do with other tools. Check out the live stream, our CEO shows how you can use a layering project in a node-based workflow and it turn it into an asset generator that automatically creates a UV unwrapped low-poly and textures it. it's insane, you have to see it. 🤯

That's such a short sighted response. Substance tools had over a decade of updates and lately a megacorp Adobe to support it. Whereas InstaMat just released. Ofc it's gonna be raw in places, and ofc it's gonna improve, fast. Writing it off already is just stupid.

Nice video! Really cool to see your thought process and to see how you're exploring InstaMAT's nodes through Quick Search. Looking forward to seeing any future content you make!
