I hope Keyshot commission you to do their official " learning " tutorials and I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR THEM. There is a level of compassion for the new software user in your teaching that is rare these days. In just two videos you got me going with Keyshot. Now, to the " OTHER " presenters ( even the Keyshot official videos ) that one has to guess what was done during the rapid-fire keystrokes.

Thanks! The "rays" in the sake set are just planes that cast shadows on the objects :) Tutorial about scene organization is scheduled for end of November. Got some other videos lined up before that.

It was really an amazing tutorial to the point. One thing I am facing trouble with is rotating the part along z axis. If you have experience with it, I would request to let me know.
@alexanderkaula
@alexanderkaula 2 жыл бұрын
You have to check if the z-axis really is the axis you are looking for. Depending on your options it could be another axis that describes the vertical axis. Ctrl + D will activate the move tool ab any selected object. Then you can use the gimbal to move and rotate. :)

A chair consists of metal, wood and cloth and I have single diffuse map. While rendering the cloth and wood part is coming fine but the metal is looking dull. Any suggestion on this
@alexanderkaula
@alexanderkaula 4 жыл бұрын
There are two types of materials. Dielectrics and metals. Wood and cloth are dielectrics and have different properties than metals. So in your case you would need a texture that defines where metal is and where it’s not. It should be black and white. Use this texture to drive the opacity of a new label material for the metal. With two materials you have more control.

How to save custom materials and colour ? Then how to set perfect top view camera and front view camera without mouse drag?
@alexanderkaula
@alexanderkaula 6 жыл бұрын
I will definetly talk about those topics in future videos. But here a quick answer: To save Materials, right click on the model/part with the desired material and then click on "save to library". Or in the Project-Panel under Material hit the "Save button" which looks like a floppy disk. Top View or front view can be archived by typing in the values in the camera settings. For a perfect top or front view you would have to change the camera from perspective to orthographic and then use the following values: Front (Azimuth 0, Inclination 0), Top (Azimuth 0, Inclination 90).

Hey this is a wonderful tutorial, I have a question here though, the display I'm rendering on has really different values when I look at the render on my phone, or my friends Mac, how do you suggest can I correct this issue, because what looked realistic on my PC (windows) looked a bit funny on the other displays
@alexanderkaula
@alexanderkaula 4 жыл бұрын
This is a common problem and can’t be ruled out completely since every display is different. First of all you could calibrate your monitor. You will need hardware for that. For future purchases look for a high quality monitor that can reproduce 90%+ of the sRGB spectrum.
