A very rare sight from an Orthodox Bishop holding Bible and narrating the meaning to ordinary people in an informal class room style teaching !!!! My ONLY gripe is missionary work should be aimed at the western audience who is brought up outside Kerala rather than 'Preaching to the converted...' May I wish everyone involved in the making and publishing this video, especially H.G.Yakub Mar Elias perception... Expecting further lessons with English briefings in between - May God Bless (Baboi)

I came into the Faith through marriage.So I do need these lessons and have been waiting for guidance on how to be successful in living in the Orthodox Way.

When we were children we found satisfaction on the various flavors in which milk was given to us but as we grew we came to realize that milk is more important than the flavor. Orthodoxy is pure milk others corrupt it by adding flavors.

Thank you Thirumeni for your open message. If only a handful of "people" were as peaceful, open and spiritual as your Grace, our Saba would have been "a light set on a hill". With faith as with intuition, one FEELS that one is right, but one does not KNOW that one is right. When one knows, it ceases to be faith. Faith guides knowledge and knowledge supports faith. The certainty that God is with us and sustains us, underpins a Christian's life. [ Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deut 7:9 KJV] It is through doubt that search begins, it is through faith that search continues, it is through knowledge that clarity begins, it is through this clarity that faith grows into the realms of the spiritual. It is through His Immutable LOVE that we are saved. GUILT and FEAR has no place in God's realm. May God Bless us all through His Grace.

Dear Luke, Lets turn to nature-just because the act of breathing is repetitive, we don't stop breathing nor we decide that we do a mega breathing once for all and stop. So is it with walking, swimming... Turn to the book 'The way of a pilgrim'- a quest on how to pray constantly. The pilgrim is happy repeating the Jesus prayer. He is not bored.
