"myślałem" is an imperfective verb and can be translated "I thought" or " I was thinking" "pomyślałem" [I thought/I have thought] is an accomplished verb gotowaLIśmy (masculine gender), gotowaŁYśmy (feminine) By the way this is also an example of an imperfective verb. The accomplished verb in this case is: ugotowaliśmy/ugotowałyśmy

Polish is hard in my opinion, but the fact you've made it to 159 days without giving up (like I did) truly shows how dedicated you are to learning Polish

1:25 We are dealing here with Imperfective and Perfective form of the verb. So: Imperfective basically means that the activity you were doing were not finished. It was endelss, incomplete, not finished or it was a process. For example "ja czytałem książkę" - "I was reading a book". You were reading a book but we have no idea how long were you reading. You could be reading 2 minutes, 4 hours or a even a day. You are not done with the book yet Perfective is when the activity you were doing got stopped or finished. In this case, you finished the book, "ja przeczytałem książkę" - "I read the book". We know that your activity has been finished, by your own free will. I am not a teacher but I hope my explanation with be useful for you, good luck with polish language mate

4:10 in polish our verbs say quite a lot about the acvitity we were doing, lets take for example word from your video, "gotować" "to cook". And we take the Imperfective form, so it will be "was cooking" and not "cooked". all in the past form ja (I) - "gotować", we cut the ending so we have gotowa.... łem, gotowałem ty (you) - gotowa... łeś, gotowałeś on (he) - gotowa... ł, gotował ona (she) - gotowa... ła, gotowała ono (it) - gotowa... ło, gotowało my (we) - gotowa... liśmy, gotowaliśmy wy (you) - gotowa... liście, gotowaliście oni (they) - gotowa... li, gotowali In my opinion the best wat to learn it is to take notes in a notebook. Usually the way they change has a rule. The verb "sprzątać" - "to clean" changes the same way. (all of them are past form) Sprzątałem, sprzątałeś, sprzątał, sprzątała, sprzątało, sprzątaliśmy, sprzątaliście

Oh yeah and I forgot, the verb differs in you, we, you and they; depending on the gender. ty sprzątałaś (you, feminime) my sprzątałyśmy (we, feminime) so I can comment that we, two or more women were cleaning wy sprzątałyście (you, feminime) one (feminime form of oni) sprzątały (they. feminime) in plural, when the gropu of people is mixed, for example we have both women and man, the verb has the masculine form, for example: 2 women and 3 men - (we) sprzątaliśmy, (they) sprzątali, (you) sprzątaliśmy
