I agree John, this heli is awesome, i use mine as a live sim, it has helped a lot in learning new moves, and it takes a beating if you fly over soft grass. Must have close to 500 flights on my M1, with only replacing tail fin twice.
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
Tall grass would be a very good idea. I've put my M2 in a couple of time and the worst repair required a tail boom. Mostly just servo arms. The canopy isn't even cracked, so they are fairly durable.

Nice flying John. You can tell you have put in the work. Your helicopter stick skills are progressing nicely.

Appreciate that Dave. I wish I could go every day, then I could hit the gas pedal. Anyway, it's still fun to learn new skills.

I miss your fixed wing videos. Wish you would do a review & explanation of receiver protocols (PWM, IBUS, SBUS, DSMX, DSM2, etc.), and Express LRS compatibility with various Flight Controllers, etc. Thanks.

Yeah, the sense of risk is lower. The M1 and M2 are both pretty darned good for practice.

It's the Jonas configuration. I don't really want to post it because #1 I'm still working on it #2 I don't want to take credit for his work. If you search for the Jonas M1 config, it's very easy to find.

Very nice review! I love my M1's and try new things with them. But even more I love my M2's, most of all the M2 EVO. The power makes the difference. 2 S batteries just can't compete with 3 S batteries... so it's a bit unfair comparison. Great flying!!

I have a Fshss Heli and Radiomaster TX16s but how can I get it working together? I managed to bind heli and transmitter but pitch is not working. I used the fshss protocol from the radiomaster.Please does somebody know how to get it working.

What would people pick for a newbie with some AccuRC experience: Nano S3 or OMP M1? The facebook consensus seems to be that the Nano S3 is going to suffer less expensive crashes, especially indoors.
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question: 1) M1 flies better hands down, case closed. 2) The Nano can take a punch. When the M1 crashes, it crashes like larger helis. That is you'll be replacing parts. I have the Nano which I crashed repeatedly in my efforts to learn forward flight. The Nano doesn't have the mass needed to damage it during a crash for the most part. Not saying it can't break, but it can take a serious punch and keep flying. I characterize the Nano as the worst flying helicopter you have to own.

Looks like a nice day at the field. Your about ready to start cutting grass 😎🚁
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
LOL I dunno about cutting grass but it was fun to get it down closer to the ground. I'll keep working on it. It was a nice day temp wise but the wind was a little gusty. I was amazed at how well the M1 and M2 handled it though.

Hi there..I'm not out of the crashing stage yet..I'm fly a little ninja 250 when it's not windy. I have a M1 but not ready for it yet..can you recommend a rtf heli that's in between the two... thanks for your time Dave...

Take a look at the XK110. MotionRC used to carry them.
@fredaw612 жыл бұрын
Do you think it is a better idea to start with a Nano S3 to get used to circle and inverted before advancing to a M1? I seem to be struggling with my M1 and M2 with crashing while just learning to do circles. My hovering is getting better. I usually fly on fm1 and in low or medium rates.
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
Definitely start with a Heli that can take a punch. The Nano s3 and k110 are both good choices.

I have been using Blade 230 to do FPV with HD cameras about 12 grams or lighter. Do you think the M1 can carry a HD camera for FPV?
@RCVideoReviews Жыл бұрын
I'm sure it could carry it. Not so sure what it would do to balance and battery life, but it has ample power to take on 12g.

I have been watching your progression on these eggbeaters, 5 months in you are doing extremely well!! Just curious how much sim time you have put in, to help get you to this point, do you have a set routine of so many minutes per day/week, estimates of course?? Keep up the great work! Cheers
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I do spend time on the sim, but it's not a hard and fast schedule. I just take the time when I can get it. I believe the last time I looked at the AccurRC timer a few weeks ago I had 142 hours.

How did you use Jonas settings? Did you manually input them on the TX or did you use opentx companion and imported them? I'm new and trying to figure all this out.

What do you recommend for an entry level collective pitch heli. I have a blade 120s but not reall happy with it. Just looking for some direction.
@RCVideoReviews2 жыл бұрын
When you say entry level I'm going to assume 0 experience. If that's the case, the K110 is pretty decent for the money. It's not great, but it's good enough to learn the basics and it can take a serious punch. Once you can hover and have forward flight, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the M1 or M2.
@kevinmiller18652 жыл бұрын

The XK110 is tuff but hasnt been good for training with me cause Its been windy every day for 6 months so I only fly it in my car port. In light wind it can take off like a sail was pulling it so ya have to down it so it dont keep sailing away
