We are confusing Lando, he must think that every country that speaks spanish uses this slangs, but it's only Mexico that uses them. Lando is probably very confused because he never heard those from Carlos, but the slangs of Spain are very different from the Mexican slangs. And other spanish speaking countries like: Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, etc, also have very different slangs.

Lando probably understand regional differences. It's the same for English spoken in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. Even in the UK, there are local phrases used in Manchester or Birmingham that differ from London proper. Someone from generations of the Old South in the U.S. may not have a clue as to the slang used in South Boston.
