A few weeks ago, I witnessed Comm, a Rocket League pro for Version1, do a ceiling double tap in one of the most impressive ways possible. There aren't many things in Rocket League that will immediately inspire me to learn, but that definitely did.

I absolutely love learning new mechanics in Rocket League. It's crazy to think that even after 6 years of playing this game, there are still things about it that I can learn and practice. Rocket League is just a game and esport that has so many levels to it, there's no way anyone could ever master it. There will always be something that can be improved or learned. Today for me, that was the ceiling double tap or ceiling rebound mechanic. There are definitely more mechanics that I can learn so I will continue to make Rocket League videos with this style for sure.

I actually really like this mechanic because it becomes easier with experience on timing of the flip setup and from there you just gotta hit the ball.

Hey Wayton, I like your videos, also this one of course! But may I give you a video suggestion? This is part of the fundamentals of competitive gamedesign, but I think Psyonix should do something to improve their match making. Its clear that in 2s and 3s the player distribution is off at specific ranks, as shown at the rocket league tracker website. Especially when you look at the Rank Champ 1 in 2s, you will see, that there are many players who do not belong there. A perfect distibution would be the 1s Game mode statistic, its a nice and even curve Maybe you can try to analyze it in a video, I would love to see it, its a topic almost no one is aware of. Usually I watch SSL gameplay and rlcs and I feel like a bronze (I'm a gold trying to consistently air dribble). But watching Wayton it makes me realize that man these high level shots are REALLY hard and my scuffed double taps and actually cracked for a gold. Wayton has earned a sub for this reason.

yeah bro... you dont really need air dribbles until high diamond-champ (im in diamond 3 and people air dribble VERY rarely, and when they do they're usually a smurf

If there is one thing that would make it more viable, it would be turning off ball cam after the flip to see where your opponent is at so you don’t get unexpectedly rushed
