Funny thing is that people are doing the same things over and over as the ones who lived before them. And strange is that many don't even understand it. You fall in love, have a first day in school or in a new workplace. I think even emotions they feel are almost identical to the people who lived before them and had same experiences. Now think. If you had a friend and you saw him do something and react to something and after that would you act and react same way as that friend. No because that would be animal like thinking. You would try to be more original. You would analyse. But we forget that when it comes to life in general. We think the same thoughts that millions of people have been thinking hundreds of years. And guess what? We even feel like these emotions are unique because they are intense. So to get out of matrix - I think we need to understand that our perceptions are programs. Most things we feel are just our body's way of reacting.

Me too, but the question _Who am I?_ or _What am I?_ is still unsolved. It is good that nobody knows, and people hardly talk about this or other existential topics, which strenghtens the idea that nobody actually knows. Since we don't even know who we are or what we are, there is very few things you should worry about, at a existential level. If there's nothing to worry about, you can play with everything people think of themselves or think of you, or with what you think of yourself or others. People that get too excited, angry or too serious because of this, are unaware of how unaware they are. This is why they will fight you if they don't like what you say or tell them. At not such an existential level you have to worry about a couple things, like fulfilling your needs. But then again, also you shouldn't take these so seriously because in the end you are dying, no matter how good you are at making money, being good at what you do, finding somebody to love that also loves you and so on. The chances of having a revelation or near death experience, or whatever, within life seem to be low. And I would also say it might look a bit stupid if you go through life trying to provoke any of these.

This channel goes on loop complaining and stating the obvious, which is fine as it attracts people who are disillusioned, but there's no evolution here. People want to escape, but to where? Some existence where everything is rosy and all our whims and desires are met? Wouldn't we all love that? Sure. But as far as I can tell, the trap is the mind and the ego. The trap is the clinging and the desire. Let go of everything, dissolve into nothingness, or don't and remain in the cycle. Read The Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma to get a grasp on it. Or don't. It's your choice.

@@Dakradom I want to "let go of everything". I have felt very attracted to Buddhism for the last 10 years (minus the metaphysical, e.g., attaining "merit", cosmology, etc.). I find it hard to reconcile the detachment from this existence (as I understand in Buddhism; for example, the monk who spends most of their time meditating) with the temporal needs (like having decent job, supporting family, being healthy by exercising and eating well, or ultimately being self-sufficient and not relying on any system). I wonder if the only way to rid of craving, aversion, and ignorance is by meditating for hours every day. Is there no other way?
