On coupling, the hoses. The ones on the right are for hydrolic hoses (Spool valves). Usually if you have one hose, it goes into the bottom one and is usually for a single acting ram. A connection with 2 hoses is normally a double acting ram or hydraulic motor. Ill let Tom explain the rest.
