Gastric refers to digestive problems that occur in the stomach as you've probably aware of. The best way to treat gastric problems in a hot country like Fiji is to: 1. Drink plenty of fluids , especially water, to stay hydrated and help flush out any toxins from your body. 2. Avoid eating spicy or oily foods, as they can irritate your digestive system and make your symptoms worse. ( For that avoid the suns heat as well. Stay indoors in cool areas and avoid lots of movement that generates heat. Lots of sleep. 3. Eat small, frequent meals instead of large ones to reduce the burden on your digestive system. Try to eat more fibrous foods, such as foods that include: Whole grains (such as oats, quinoa, brown rice, and whole wheat) Legumes (such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas) Nuts and seeds (such as almonds, chia seeds, and flax seeds) Fruits and vegetables (such as apples, broccoli, and spinach) Root vegetables (such as sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets), as they can help regulate your bowel movements and prevent constipation. 4. Avoid consuming alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco, as they can irritate your digestive system and exacerbate your symptoms. 5. Consider taking over the counter medications, such as antacids or acid blockers, to relieve heartburn and indigestion. It's also important to pay attention to your body and rest when you're feeling unwell. If your symptoms persist or are severe, you should consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.

Cheers, some great advice here! I found when my symptoms were at their peak, tiny but frequent sips of water helped best. The fevers were the worst. All you can do is rest and grit your teeth. Rehydration sachets really helped to reduce dizziness and brain fog (but quite disgusting to drink). I was given 2 separate courses of antibiotics while in Fiji. They reduced my symptoms a lot, but totally messed my stomach up. Wasn't till 2 months later that I was back to normal. When back in the UK, I got tested - and came back positive for campylobacter

The girl who says "is that audio?" Sounds like Harmani from Harry Potter in my opinion.
