I've been in constant pain for 18+ years but it didn't start until I was 41. Can't imagine having to deal with this as a child or young person. All the best to every one of us

Hi, im 23 and my pain was so bad at 18 that i had to give up my job and school. Every day is a fight and some days you have to just breath. Touch your heart with your heand and tell yourself everything is ok. That you love yourself and you are a warrior. That is enough. I know you wrote this along time ago and i read all your coments. If you still need help or someone to talk to, im here for you 😊

Chronic pain has thought me a lot of things. It’s very difficult to concentrate and or do drawing or even reading. and if you think that appointments shouldn’t take so long to get in you probably live in America. However I leaned that out of the people here, a few here actually want to help, not nearly as many as some were else, but they exist and pain can be coped with. Thank you. Ps move to Europe if you have chronic pain, it takes less time and money to get treated there.

This gave me a lot of hope, going to a "pain centre" again too soon. I need to have better coping mechanisms, because I lost control at the moment. This was a great reminder 🙌

Encouraging...not likely a child can imagine such pain ...and I don't imagine mine...it IS real. I was fine all my life until this started up and now I can't shake it. Viewed every lecture and post I can find but nothing works except pain meds, which I have been hesitant to do but finally have had to give in - I simply can't live with this constant pain.

It sounds like this is a good first step- acknowledging that it is real. There are unfortunate limitations to treatment, but support is essential.

Have avoided most health issues like cancers, diabetes, serious heart issues, but this chronic pain has reduced me to a bed-ridden cripple. Thankful for my heallthy life so far, but this one has stopped me in my tracks. Glad I am 75 and near the end before this hit me . Ringing in my ears.....It NEVER goes away.

I have been to a pain clinic here in Alberta and all they did was drug the crap out of me and turned me into an addict. So with no success I quit the clinic and the pain meds and went to marijuana, this hasn't cured me but sure helps to get me through a day.

You hold a child in pain. To the child it's like someone is sharing the pain.
@crueltyfreemakeupheaven69073 жыл бұрын
It can hurt though, when I'm in pain and anyone hugs me it can get worse but I understand what you mean, that it helps to "share the pain" even though I don't want my loved ones to experience my pain too

I've had a really rough time with my 3 kinds of pain for 11 years up until recently. I also got to meet a team who helped me a lot. Previously I had to crawl or limp quite often to get to different room so I looked for wheelchairs to buy online. Before I got one tho they wanted me to try out a new medication, it's called mabthera and is a cancer medication you get as a drip. It was my own choice of course to take it. I had previously tried changing my diet and exercise (mostly exercise) which made life a tiny bit easier but the new medicine has helped me so much. I can walk way more than Before, I can even work half time now! So having a team and trying stuff out (it doesn't have to be meds! It could be massages, tools/ mobility aids or exercises) Can really change your quality of life.😊 Do you have chronic pain?🙂

This may sound stupid but tiger balm works with my chronic headaches. Being with Friends and taking quick consecutive gulps of cold water to get a brain freeze helps. This may not be for everyone but saying (on the count of five I’ll do x) can help with motivation, it doesn’t work for everyone though.
