Thank you so much, I've just taught myself how to play Little Donkey! I will be using mine in music classes for special needs kids, it think they will love it!

WOW You are amazing!! What don't you play?? I'm sort of like that too. My only problem of plying the concertina is the bellows. I'm going very gentle and going slow to get the hang of it. says Judy Corrette

I have a 20 button Anlgo -German (made in Italy) concertina. I am going slow learning the buttons on both sides with the draw and push etc. I am having fun . My dog doesn't like the concertina , he leaves the room when I bring it out to play. He's okay with my guitar, 5 string banjo ,fiddle ,and dulcimer. His name I Cody says Judy Corrette in USA

The tune that you play is a traditional Irish Music tune called "Maggie in the woods". I'm a beginner too!

I am so confused about choosing the english over the anglo, I am completely green on the instrument but I am fascinated. In NYC I have not found a store where I can even try them out.

The lack of accidentals is a bit annoying, but I'm finding it's a lot of fun to experiment within the limits of the instrument. I bought a cheap one off Amazon as a Christmas present to myself to get familiar with the Anglo and I like it so far! Very relaxing to play. I may invest in a good quality 30 button model at some point.

wonderful. Was hoping you would put a little tune out on the melodian. :)

The 'Rosetti Rambler' concertina you first bought seems to have multiple incarnations under other lesser-known brand names. Would you recommend it to someone totally new to squeezeboxes and wanting to learn the concertina, or is it not worth the £30-40??
@daddylongles8 жыл бұрын
At very least I would go for a Rochelle. These cheap concertinas will probably put you off. Having said that, if you can't stretch to one of these the Hohner D40 I demonstrate is not too bad. Don't buy a Rosetti Rambler - they really are awful!!

Do you press the air button w/ each note?
@amymoriarty28955 жыл бұрын
No, the air button iso usually for if you have ran out of bellows on either the push or pull, due to a slow piece or anot uninterrupted sequence of notes going the same way. You press thenter air button (with yoor right thumb) while playing a note to bring the bellows in or out much faster with less force. It just gives you space and air to keep playing. Hope this helped ^-^
