May I give you a tip? I am not criticizing you just a friendly advice. When creating your ‘X’ for your project, choose to create the ‘X’ right to left or left to right stick to that stitch throughout the entire project. You are doing such a nice job. By ensuring that all of the threads are facing the same direction will elevate the look at completion. If you don’t want to change that’s fine, no worries!! 😉💕

Thank you so much for this explanation, you are making such a wonderful effort speaking in English and I understand you very well. I am a true beginner and understanding the difference between petitpoint and half crossstitch helped explained to me why I wasn't getting coverage on my first project I just bought doing half crossstitch. It's a Diamant D566 and the canvas 11count (I think), the holes are so big I am using 5 strands and full crossstitch just for coverage. I wonder now if petitpoint would have worked. What pencil do you use to mark for light colored floss. I am also wondering how you start and end your threads, I am puzzled of what to do, especially when I only do 4 or 5 stitches. Your work is beautiful and the water in Italy looks lovely!!

Hello Olga 👋 Thank you for sharing this video. I enjoy your channel! 😊 I have a question about petit point. I heard that some people say petit point distort the fabric. Do you have any experience like that? I’m trying to stitch with petit point now and I really like the coverage. I don’t see my fabric is pulled from one direction to another so far. But I’m a bit worried about it. I’ll appreciate if you give me your advice or experience. Thank you ☺️

Thank you for your comment 💐😊 Hmm some of my projects which I've stitched in petit point on Lugana were distorted... You're right. But when you stitch on Aida, this is not going to happen. When your fabric is soft, then you should use an extra thin fabric on the backside of your stitching fabric. I've bought a special one, so I can iron it and it holds and makes my main stitching fabric not that soft anymore. I hope, I could explain understandable for you 😉🌹Have a nice day 🌹

@@wonderfulstitches Oh no! I’m stitching on 28ct Lugana, 2 over 1. Actually I was stitching it last night and I noticed more pulling the fabric. I really like the coverage with petit point and relaxing movement but hmm… And I don’t like Aida that much anymore. Well, all things are experience and it will be good.
