One should probably go to Greenland to learn about its customs and traditions. "Rely heavily on Polar Bear meat" ??? What!? 54 years and I've never eaten polar bear meat, neither has anyone in my family. Actually I don't know anyone who has eaten polar bear meat.
@andilandia_197910 ай бұрын
Glad to hear. I was wondering who would do that. Aren't they endangered?
@AndersJensenTH10 ай бұрын
@@andilandia_1979 I remember in the early 80s that they said that they were down to about 5-10,000, and they got protected. Hunters were only allowed to kill one per year. Now they say that there are 25,000+ in the Arctic region. My family from the Disko Bay area and to Arsuk in the south have never gone hunting for bears. If they get close to the town they are easily scared away with loud noises from a firecracker or a shotgun. Also I remember being told as a kid that if we were to eat polar bear meat it would have to cook for at least 24 hours as it could be poisonous if not. I don't know how much truth there was in this but that's what we were told.

a must have in England is the colour Beige which is also a very popular for the exterior of houses with cement render ( which is very many ) although it’s titled Gardinia for some reason. My gripe is , given that 7 months of the year the climate can be bleak & unlike Greenland here & the Northern European neighbours , the English aren’t keen on bright or strong colours for outdoors leading to months of grey skies & beige homes everywhere you look. Fact in my district of southern England for 3 miles of constant roadside homes only 3 aren’t beige or white …

People in Greenland are not illiterate. A son of German missionaries, Samuel Kleinschmidt set the Greenlandic language to writing in the 1850s and since then all Greenlanders have been taught to read and write their own language. Many people n Greenland also read, write and speak Danish and English. The information in this video is not entirely truthful, a number of the facts presented are skewed. Greenland is a fully modern society. We are not some backwater place with primitive tribes.
