Most don’t have hand mitts because they discourage babies learning with their hands! I don’t actually know if it makes any difference in their development (I doubt it) but I never used hand mitts on my now 2 year old. She also didn’t scratch her face often tho lol

I put my daughter in hand mittens thinking it was a good idea and it was not the doctor told me they need to use there hands to grip and learn how to use their hands better or else they will be behind from other children that can draw and cut with scissors. My daughter can not draw or cut well with scissors till today. Just cut his nails and file super easy and better for his hand coordination. Just saying
