DC generator means which converts mechanical energy to electrical energy which means input is mechanical energy then why are we using electrical energy to produce magnetic Flux?
@LearningVibes2 жыл бұрын
To produce electrical energy we need a constant magnetic field, in which conductor moves and produced electrical energy
@ex-secular2702 жыл бұрын
This electric energy is given to field coils to excite them to produce constant magnetic field
@jonathancameron66152 жыл бұрын
It needs to create a magnetic field or flux which the mechanically moved rotor armature can cut through, inducing current to the output leads.
@patanirohan60672 жыл бұрын
@@LearningVibes sir not understand at all what you said about this question...🙄
@DanielKatundu-y8t2 жыл бұрын
@@patanirohan6067 What he means is, the field windings have current passing through them, which we know causes the creation of a magnetic field around each pole, that is why we need electrical energy in order to energise the field windings to produce the required magnetic field.

The reason as to why the ac supply input is not being shown in the graph, simply is because of a commutator in the armature, basically the commutator converts AC current to DC current, further with the help of brushes the current is delivered to the load.
