I love how you and Molly are so supportive of each other. I think you might be each others greatest fans.

People like Molly can save Irish and help it thrive 😊 we might do a collaboration at some point in the future which would be great.

@@LearnIrish Hey, you're doing a lot to help Irish thrive yourself, so don't underplay your contribution. But I get what you're saying about Molly. Since she is from a younger generation, she gives the language a great future. Speaking of which, I assume you're familiar with TG Lurgan? I would so love to see a collaboration between you and Molly
@LearnIrish4 жыл бұрын
Yes I've certainly heard of TG Lurgan, they made fantastic videos, I really love the cup song that they did - that was the first one I came across a few years ago 😊

Dia dhuit Dane! I really appreciate your video and agree that "Caith" is an extremely important word. And thanks for telling it's future tense, cuz I'm not good at future tense. There are two Irish language channels whose videos I never miss, yours' and Molly's. I like her sense of humour,in addiction to being a great teacher like you,she got a very good sense of humour. Is maith liom a chiall greann! As regards your video I must say Caithfidh mé a rá go bhfuil sé go hiontach ! Físeán ar fheabhas is mhór agam é! Go raibh míle maith agat agus slán go fóill! 👍

@LearnIrish4 жыл бұрын
Great idea for a video, the dh would normally make a g sound after broad consonants and a y sound after slender ones 😊

Depends on the dialect, a person from Glasgow will probably pronounce something different than a person from London. Irish is not that different.

Another very helpful video Dane. Thank you. Yes, I have been watching Molly. She has very good videos,as you said,and a very good page on Instagram.As you said I have subscribed on Gaeltacht Greenville, and I can say that I found the lessons interesting. At the end of the video there is a pdf with the lesson in order to be able to see during the lesson. Thank you again.

Caithfidh or any future verb is pronouced by native speakers in munster as Caith(hig) if it stands alone without a pronoun and caith(ha) with pronouns caith(ha) mé tú sé sí sinn sibh siad. Its best to learn this from the start.
