Your teaching style is wonderful. These etudes are a pinnacle of the pianist's art - in coming too late to study these serious works, they nevertheless serve as inspiration for what became possible for me to play. Thank you.💐

Thanks so much. If you break the etudes down and work on those difficult spots (slowly at first), you might be surprised at what you can eventually play. Good luck to you!

Thank you for this video. I'm not skilled to even attempt these by any means but I appreciate that you show how much intermediary effort is needed to approach them.

A concise video, of course, but very useful and enjoyable. I hope it becomes a full series! Congratulations, and thank you very much!

I've been picking away at the first three Etudes off and on for a couple years now and only recently started looking into technique. Funny thing is that the more Chopin I play the more these little techniques are almost trained into you. I picked up a very poor version of the bow technique or fingering techniques almost passively. There's a saying that great game design doesn't require a tutorial, they just play. In my experience I get the same feeling from reading Chopin. When you learn the proper/better way to do it everything just clicks. As always, really great video. I look forward to try to work even a fraction of these suggestions into my playing. Thanks!

The fingers do all the work is true! It’s what I figured out myself nice to see a master confirming my beliefs!! Your arm is free and guides them!!

Very useful advice as usual. The Tristesse is already a moutain for me, but the techniques you talked about obviously can be applied to other pieces as well. Thank!
