i know few Malayali friends of my area who are from Kerala - kottayum and alleppey whom they only know how to speak, talks with their family, and I'm from Telugu language able to understand a few bits of their conversation and get information about it. im able to learn few words, chechi - sister, velam-water, pacchakarri- vegetables, ingotiva-come here, seri - okay, venda-what, saappad- to eat, kutty- beautiful girl and few many of them. Malayalam is a fun language to hear and learn. I myself wanted to learn the language by hearing, but it's quite tough and need consistency to grasp. You ma'am learned it to the core I bet speaking so fluently. Good going ma'am! Happy learning and Have a good one!

Your channel is a GAMECHANGER! One suggestion/request for future videos- for the ask back (like at 4:30), I would love to hear those questions in Malayalam! Even as a total beginner, it would be a great way to maximize input exposure and I think my mind could handle it, especially with what a great teacher you are!

Telugu malayalam are somewhat close as they are Dravidian languages. "Vanti" means vehicle and "Bandi" in telugu. "Entu ceyyukumanu?" - what are you doing. In Telugu 'emi chestunavu? " - what are you doing. It's very much similar right?? So that's how I understand malayalam and he knows Telugu also. We converse in Telugu after that for easy going. Do visit India and stay for a while if you will. Ma'am, you will also become a polyglot for sure in no time. :)
